The Unknown Quarter
Entering the room
looking around
I
alone, single
cold and fatigued
feel myself lost
the light flashes on and off
obscuring the painting on the wall
the tea pot is not aware
the leaves are metallically bouncing
in the boiling water
the book lying on the table
does not sense the warmth
the desperate call
of the arid mind
from outside the room
the starling is crying
perturbing
commingling the tender night
the “K” on the ceiling
brewing the light of the asteroid
echoing the birring pot lid
does not find me in the dark
fatigued, cold
single and alone
I
lying on the bed
meditating on the aeon of the great letter
